I have been itching to use a Polaroid frame for some time. I think I used it on a layout but haven't yet done so with a card.
The inspiration for this card came from my BFF. I miss her. Her husband is active duty military and they left CA after having been stationed here for over 10 years! I met them while I was in the military (long ago!). I got lucky to have her here for so long. But now she's on the east coast and I miss her a ton.
So here's what I made with my BFF in mind.
The senitment is from My Thoughts Exactly's More Big Thoughts stamp set. The pretty three tone twine is none other than Trendy Twine who actually sells more than just twine.
I created the frame in MTC (Make the Cut) by joining two squares.
Well, that's about it. Now I'm off to mourn! :) Kidding....kind of....

Bathroom Sign People
Not sure what else to call this cute little couple. Bathroom sign people seems fitting.
My craft area is pretty much finished. Just need to clean up the stragglers and I will take pictures. Since I finally have a long desk to craft on I was excited to make something and see how roomy my desk really is. Well...it's PERFECT! Anyway, on to what you came here for....the card.
I just realized that it looks like they got run over.....hahaha.

New Craft Area
It is time for me to give up my craft room. I have been dreading this day for over a year now. I knew this was coming but I held out as long as possible. My little monster or I should say zombie, is ready for a crib and her own room.
Oh why is she a zombie? Well if you saw how she acts when she is tired and hungry you'd understand. Not only does she sound like one during her tired hunger moments but she goes on the attack and munches on us and our clothes if she doesn't get food ASAP. It's really cute.
So it's goodbye to my craft *room* and hello to a craft *area*. You would think I'd be a little sad about it. I'm not. My craft room was the catch-all room and was a mess! I couldn't get further than my craft table in that disatser of a room. My work space and craft storage was laughable. In other words, I couldn't function. So nope, not sad. Excited actually. How in the heck can I be excited when I am downgrading space?
This is why:
My awesome husband is building me some awesomeness.
My husband had a game room. Goodbye to game room. Sort of. This game room will be a combined game room and craft room now. The pictures above are just the start. I also went and purchased two cubby shelves from Lowes to hold more of my craft stuff. Unfortunately I didn't get the Expedit shelves from Ikea (been dreaming about those for a few years now) but I am hoping what I ended up getting works just as well.
I'm hoping that we get this all put together this weekend so I can *move* in and hopefully get my mojo back.

Hello Kitty Bookmark
Hello all! I am a guest designer over at September Ninth today. Yea yea....I actually made something. I'm not even going to say "I'm back" because I don't know about that yet. Anyway, for today's project I used a cut file that Ruthie created from a coloring book page.
Hello Kitty is quite the popular cat these days. Actually, now that I think about it that cute white cat was popular back when I was a teen...all those years ago. Now my pre-teen daughter and her friends swoon over it just like I did in the 90s. I just hinted at my age there. Did you catch that?
Lately my daughter has been reading a lot. She has nothing else to do while she sits and mourns the loss of her electronic use privileges. Oh these pre-teen years!! Since she is reading a ton and probably lost the other bookmarks I made her I decided to use this awesome Hello Kitty file to make her a new bookmark. Here it is....
It was super easy to make. I welded the Hello Kitty main body to a rectangle in MTC and sized all the parts at the same time to keep the measurements equal. The bookmark is about 6" tall and 1.75" wide.
See the little kitty peeking out at you?
I have it on good word that Ruthie will be offering the Hello Kitty file for free. Head on over to her blog grab it!

Pink Christmas! Forget the Traditonal!
I love traditional Christmas colors but sometimes I want a change. I think blue Christmas stuff and pink stuff is so cute! I can't make the switch to the decor though. I have to stick to traditional colors because it just looks so elegant! But hey, I can make Christmas cards in ANY color!
I made these last year. I know, I know....I'm just slightly behind in my posting. LOL. OK, WAAAY behind!
I love stockings on cards. I am drawn to them for some reason. Maybe because they are tiny and just cute! How about that mini clothespin?! Adorable right? I used them in a Halloween layout I made last year. Oops, nope....those were hangers! Just checked. Well, if you want to see those too you will die from cuteness! Here's the link!

Baby Girl Card
Told ya I needed to make baby shower cards. Yesterday I posted the boy version so today is the girl version! I made two of these as well except the second one is slightly different. Same paper but different placement of the elements.
And once again I used My Thoughts Exactly stamps, Trendy Twin's twine and Recollections paper. Pretty cute huh? Isn't the elephant adorable?!
I think next up will be a neutral gender card.

Baby Shower Congratulations Card
I realized I had only made one baby shower card EVER! That needed to change so I decided to make another. In fact I need to make a few.
I had gone to Michael's last week and saw the cutest 6x6 paper packs from My Minds Eye and swooped up a few. Too bad I didn't get them when they were 2/$8. These little packs are really perfect for making cards and that's exactly what I did with them! I used paper from MME Blink of an Eye 6x6 to make my latest baby boy card.
I wanted to stick with a classy look for this and I think I pulled it off. I used a punch to cut out the star and then stuck the star studded background in behind the star for a pop of pretty design! I used a My Thoughts Exactly stamp set for the sentiment both inside and out. I think the embossing and inking of the edges really makes the card stand out more so than it would have had I not used those techniques. Oh and of course I used my favorite twine...Trendy Twine to tie the little button into the design. Inside I stamped "mommy to be". Normally I don't stamp sentiments inside cards but I am trying to see how I like it so I gave it a try.
Oh, I also made a second card that looks exactly like this but without the sentiment inside that way it can be used for any congratulatory reason. I liked it THAT much that I made more than one. :)
